En las afueras de Port au Prince, las hermanas Lori y Licia llevan adelante un Rescue Center, donde el objetivo es alimentar a los niños desnutridos, sanar a los enfermos, y cuando estan bien, regresarlos a sus hogares. http://www.xanga.com/no_Im_not_a_nurse.

A veces estos niños tambien son dados en adopción , gralmente a traves de Reach Out to Haiti.

En lo que sigue, lo que escribieron en un post de su blog, hace unos dias:

She is beginning to lose some of her "water weight". She has had no visitors or anyone call about her since she was admitted. She cannot lift her head up or do much but cry and eat.

Uwandi died shortly after I wrote the last update on her. She suffered so much and it was so unneeded. She just needed to be fed and loved. She died and she did not need to. Her mother came once and stayed for about 2 minutes. The day she died I called for her mother. She came and yelled and screamed and fell on the ground.
